Elm Grove Recycle Center Hours

The Elm Grove Recycle Center is located at 900 Wall Street and is open to residents only. Proof of residency is required for admittance. The center accepts brush, grass clippings, and leaves.

Hours of Operation:

• March: Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• April – October 14th: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM; Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• October 15th – November 30th: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Sundays, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• December: Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Closures:

• January & February
• July 4th
• November 23rd, 24th, and 25th
• December 23rd and 30th

Elm Grove Leaf Disposal

Residents can dispose of leaves at the Village Recycle Center or through leaf pickup services.

Village Recycle Center:

• Residents can take their leaves to the Village Recycle Center.
• Bags must be emptied upon arrival.
• Only biodegradable bags with approved stickers will be collected.

Leaf Pickup Services:

• Purchase specially marked stickers with the Johns Disposal name from Village Hall or the Police Dept.
• Attach stickers to biodegradable leaf bags.
• Place bags at the street end of your driveway prior to 7:00 AM on trash pickup day.
• Leaf bags are collected from September through November.

Other Waste Disposal Services

Hazardous Waste:

Hazardous waste materials are not permitted at the Village Recycle Center. Residents can dispose of hazardous waste at the Waukesha County Hazardous Waste Facility.

Large Item Disposal:

Residents can schedule large item pickups through Johns Disposal. Fees apply for this service.

Christmas Trees:

Christmas trees can be disposed of at the Village Recycle Center during designated hours.

Free Wood Chips:

Residents can obtain free wood chips at the Village Recycle Center.

Additional Information

• The Recycle Center is closed during January & February.
• Only Elm Grove residents are allowed to utilize the Recycle Center.
