• Household Hazardous Waste: Household hazardous waste, such as chemicals, oil-based paints, thinners, stains, pesticides, and insecticides, is not accepted at the Nicholson Landfill & Transfer Station. Instead, these items should be disposed of at the Kent County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, which is held twice a year.
• Electronics: Electronics, such as computers and televisions, are not accepted at the Nicholson Landfill & Transfer Station. Instead, these items should be recycled at a designated electronics recycling facility.
