Gillette City Dump Hours
The Gillette City Dump, also known as the North Landfill, is located 11 miles north of Gillette on North Highway 59. Its hours of operation are as follows:
- Monday-Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Please note that commercial loads must weigh in by 4:30 p.m., and residential loads must vacate the premises by 5:00 p.m.
Fees
The Gillette City Dump charges fees for both residential and commercial loads. The fees are as follows:
- Residential loads: $25
- Commercial loads: $50
There is a $25 fee for residential loads and a $50 fee for commercial loads arriving at the landfill with an unsecure load.
Fee-Waived Dumping
Campbell County residents are eligible for fee-waived dumping. Each valid residential address in Campbell County can receive up to twelve (12) subsidized dumps per year. To take advantage of this program, you must pre-register your address.
What to Bring
When visiting the Gillette City Dump, please bring the following items:
- Proof of residency (for fee-waived dumping)
- A tarp or straps to secure your load
- Cash or check for payment
What Not to Bring
The Gillette City Dump does not accept the following items:
- Hazardous waste
- Radioactive waste
