The San Juan Dump is open to the public during the following hours:

Drop Box Locations
In addition to the main dump, there are also two drop box locations in San Juan County:
- Bluff Drop Box: Closed
- Mexican Hat Drop Box:

- Hours: Tuesday & Friday 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- La Sal Drop Box:
- Address: 591 E Hwy 46 La Sal, UT
- Hours: Friday & Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Please note that the drop box locations have limited hours and cannot accept all types of materials.
Banned Materials
The following materials are not accepted at the San Juan Dump or the drop box locations:
- Construction debris / Waste / PCB’s
- Human Waste / Asbestos
- Bio-medical waste (blood, needles, etc.) / Cement / Asphalt
- Dead animals (including deer, skunks, dogs, cats, etc.) / Contaminated Oil
- Liquids (paint, solvent, cooking oil, pesticides, herbicides, anti-freeze) / Contaminated Soil
- Tree stumps (over 100 lbs.) / Radioactive material
- Tires (larger than 11-24.5) / Commercial waste
- Large scrap metal (anything over 100 lbs.)
Additional Information
- Charge accounts are available to commercial customers with approved credit.
- Cash, check, or credit/debit cards are accepted at the dump.
- The dump staff is not required to assist in the off-loading of materials.
- Illegal dumping is not allowed and violators will be held accountable.
