Shorewood WI Dump Hours: Get Rid of Your Junk Efficiently
Are you a resident of Shorewood, WI, struggling to dispose of bulky or large items? Look no further! The Village of Shorewood offers convenient special collection services and a residential dumping facility to help you declutter your home and keep your community clean.
Special Collections: For Large and Bulky Items
Special collections are prearranged pickups for items that cannot be collected with regular household refuse. This service is available to Shorewood residents and includes:
- Fees: The special collection fee is $50, which covers two employees, a truck, and up to 500 pounds of refuse. Additional time and weight are billed at $20 for each 15-minute increment and $0.04 per pound over 500 pounds.
- Scheduling: Special collections must be prepaid and scheduled in advance. They are typically scheduled on Thursdays.
- Items Accepted: Acceptable items for special collection include furniture, appliances, electronics, and other bulky household items.
- Items Not Accepted: Materials coded for recycling, yard waste, brush, and household hazardous wastes cannot be collected as special collections.
To Schedule a Special Collection:
- Visit the Village Hall to make an in-person payment.
- Call the Public Works Department at 414-847-2650 to schedule your pickup.
Residential Dumping: For Household Refuse and Yard Waste
The Village of Shorewood also operates a residential dumping facility for Shorewood and Whitefish Bay residents. The yard is open on scheduled Saturdays for the disposal of household refuse and yard waste.
- Fees: Fees for disposal vary depending on the type of vehicle and materials being disposed of.
- Hours: The yard is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following Saturdays:
- April to November: 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month
- December to March: 1st Saturday of each month (only)
- Proof of Residency: Proof of residency is required for residential dumping.

- Used tires (fees apply)
Items Not Accepted:
- Multi-axle vehicles
