Kitimat Dump Hours of Operation

The Kitimat dump is open to the public six days a week, from Tuesday to Sunday. The dump is closed on Mondays and statutory holidays.

The dump’s hours of operation are as follows:

  • Winter (October 1 to March 31): 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Summer (April 1 to September 30): 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Kitimat Dump Fees

The Kitimat dump charges a variety of fees for the disposal of waste. These fees are based on the type of waste being disposed of and the weight of the waste.

The following are the current tipping fees at the Kitimat dump:

  • Residential garbage (up to 100kg): $5.00 per trip
  • Residential garbage (more than 100kg): $75.00 per tonne
  • Commercial waste: $75.00 per tonne

In addition to the tipping fees, the Kitimat dump also charges a handling fee for the disposal of certain materials. These materials include:

  • Auto hulks: $75.00 per hulk
  • Mattresses: $10.00 per mattress

What Materials Are Accepted at the Kitimat Dump?

The Kitimat dump accepts a wide variety of materials, including:
