Acceptable Waste Items

The Accomack County Landfill and Transfer Station accepts a wide range of waste items, including:

• Tires (fee applies)

• Hazardous waste (fee applies)

The convenience centers accept most of the same items as the landfill, but they do not accept hazardous waste or tires.

Fees for Disposal

The Landfill and Transfer Station charges fees for the disposal of certain items, including:

• Scrap metal: $20 per ton
• Tires: $2 per tire
• Electronics: $20 per item
• Hazardous waste: $5 per gallon

The convenience centers do not charge fees for the disposal of most items, but they do charge a fee for the disposal of tires ($2 per tire).
