Almaville Center Rules

To ensure the safety and efficiency of the Almaville Center, please adhere to the following rules:

• The center is for Rutherford County residential use only.
• Only household waste and recyclable materials are accepted.
• Bulk items are limited to three (3) items per day. Examples of bulk items include couches, mattresses, box springs, garage contents, and other furniture pieces.
• Recyclable materials should be separated from the trash before arrival.
• Only one visit per day with the equivalence of one level pickup truck load of household trash is allowed. Construction materials and demolition debris are not accepted.
• The open-top containers stand about six (6) feet tall. If you need assistance getting an item over into them, please bring help with you.
• Trailers cannot exceed 10 feet in length. If you are pulling the trailer with a truck, only the load on the trailer or the truck will be accepted, not both. The load must still comply with center rules.
• Box trucks are not allowed at any time.
• Yard waste and brush are not accepted. These items can be disposed of at the Rutherford County Landfill or Murfreesboro Mulch Facility.
• Propane or gas tanks are not allowed.
• Flammable fuels or oils are not accepted.
• Commercial waste or materials are not allowed.
• Scavenging is not allowed.
• Dumping is not allowed when the center is closed.
• Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners must be intact and free of contaminants before arriving at the center. Do not remove Freon or the compressor if recycling.
• The center does not accept paint, televisions, computers, fluorescent light bulbs, or ballast.
• Bulk items are not accepted on Sundays.
• You must wait your turn in line before dumping at the compactors.
