The Baker City Landfill is located at 39144 W. Sutton Creek Rd., Baker City, OR.

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Closed on Sundays and Holidays


  • Solid Waste: $60.00/Ton ($20.00 min up to 667 lbs)
  • Rubble: $35.00/Ton ($20.00 min up to 1200lbs)
  • Yard Debris: $30.00/Ton ($20.00 min up to 1200lbs)

Acceptable Waste:

  • Grass, brush, limbs, leaves (yard debris)
  • Metal (free)
  • Refrigerators, freezers, or air conditioners ($40.00 if brought to Baker Sanitary Service, $30.00 if brought to Landfill)
  • Tires (passenger tires: $5.00, large volume loads: $200/ton)

Unacceptable Waste:

  • Computers, monitors, or televisions

Additional Information:

  • Yellow bags for small amounts of garbage are available for purchase at the Baker Sanitary Service office for $8/bag.

  • Medical waste is not accepted except through commercial haulers in Union County. Contact the Baker County Health Department at 541-523-8211 for more information.
