Beachwood Recycling Center Hours
The Beachwood Recycling Center is located at 1600 Pinewald Rd # 1, Beachwood, NJ 08722. The hours of operation are:
- Monday through Friday: 12 pm – 3 pm
- Saturday: 8:15 am –12 pm, and 1 pm – 4 pm
Acceptable Materials at the Recycling Center
The Beachwood Recycling Center accepts a wide range of recyclable materials, including:
- Paper and cardboard
- Plastic bottles and jugs
- Metal cans and foil
- Glass bottles and jars
Unacceptable Materials at the Recycling Center
Please note that the following materials are not accepted at the Recycling Center:
- Food waste
- Yard waste
- Construction debris
- Hazardous waste
Robo Sanitation Service
The Borough of Beachwood currently has two “ROBO” trucks for sanitation pickup. Residents are urged to load the robo trash can with household trash only. Loading the can with “recyclable” items is in violation of Borough ordinance.
Illicit Connections
Illicit connections are illegal discharges of pollutants into the storm drain system. These discharges can include sewage, industrial wastewater, and runoff from construction sites. Illicit connections can contaminate our waterways and pose a threat to public health.
Improper Disposal
Improper disposal of waste can have a negative impact on our environment. Please dispose of waste properly by using the designated trash and recycling containers.
Litter
Litter is a major problem in our community. Please help keep Beachwood clean by disposing of trash properly and by picking up litter when you see it.
Pet Waste
Pet waste can contain harmful bacteria and parasites. Please dispose of pet waste properly by bagging it and placing it in the trash.
Yard Waste
Yard waste can be composted or disposed of at the Recycling Center.
2021-5Amend Chapter 17 (Stormwater Mgt)
This ordinance amends Chapter 17 of the Borough Code to update the stormwater management regulations. The amendments are intended to improve the quality of stormwater runoff and reduce the impact of stormwater on our waterways.
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
The Borough of Beachwood has developed a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) to reduce the discharge of pollutants from stormwater runoff. The SWPPP includes a variety of best management practices (BMPs) to control stormwater pollution.
Municipal Stormwater Managment Plan
The Borough of Beachwood has developed a Municipal Stormwater Management Plan (MS4) to comply with the requirements of the New Jersey Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NJPDES) permit program. The MS4 plan includes a variety of BMPs to reduce stormwater pollution.
