Belchertown Transfer Station Hours of Operation

The Belchertown Transfer Station is open to the public during the following hours:

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 7:30am – 3:15pm
• Thursday: 7:30am – 5:15pm

The Transfer Station is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Belchertown Transfer Station Fees

The following fees apply to use the Belchertown Transfer Station:

• Senior Citizen Annual Permit Sticker (65 years of age and older): $110.00
• Second Vehicle Annual Permit Sticker (registered at the same address): $35.00
• One Time Access Permit: $30.00
• Damaged Sticker Replacement: $30.00

Belchertown Transfer Station Accepted Materials

The Belchertown Transfer Station accepts the following materials:

The Belchertown Transfer Station does not accept the following materials:

• Asbestos: Roofing shingles, siding, etc.
• Biomedical Waste: Medical waste, sharps, etc.
• Explosives: Fireworks, ammunition, etc.
• Food Waste: Spoiled food, meat, dairy products, etc.
• Gasoline and Other Flammable Liquids: Gasoline, kerosene, oil, etc.
• Hazardous Waste: Radioactive materials, pesticides, herbicides, etc.
• Medical Waste: Bandages, gauze, syringes, etc.
• Propane Tanks: Full or empty propane tanks
• Refrigerators and Air Conditioners: Appliances that contain Freon

Belchertown Transfer Station Rules and Regulations

The following rules and regulations apply to the use of the Belchertown Transfer Station:

• All vehicles must have a valid annual permit sticker or one-time access permit to enter the Transfer Station.
• All materials must be sorted and placed in the designated containers.
• No hazardous materials are allowed in the Transfer Station.
• No commercial vehicles are allowed in the Transfer Station.
• No scavenging is allowed in the Transfer Station.
• The Transfer Station staff has the right to refuse any materials that they deem to be unsafe or hazardous.
