Caroline County, Maryland, provides four courtesy drop-off sites for residents to conveniently dispose of their household trash and recyclables. These sites are located in:
- Holly Road Collection Site (HoDo) at Mid-Shore Regional Landfill

- Preston Collection Site

- Monday, Thursday, Saturday: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Melville Collection Site:
- Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Old Denton (Federalsburg) Collection Site:
- Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Preston Collection Site:
- Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Rules and Regulations:
- Residents may make one visit per day.
- Only residential solid waste is accepted; commercial waste must be hauled to the landfill.
- Construction debris, discarded furnishings, and appliances must be taken to the landfill.
- Facilities are locked outside of posted hours.
- Users must comply with instructions from site attendants.
- Violating these rules may result in fines or loss of permit.
Mid-Shore II Regional Landfill
The Mid-Shore II Regional Landfill is located at 12236 River Road in Ridgely, Maryland. It is open to the public for disposal of various waste materials.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM to 12:15 PM
Rates:
- Standard Rate: $69.50 per ton
- Yard Brush Rate: $44.50 per ton
- Minimum up to 280lbs: $10.00

- Commercial waste
