Cortland County Landfill Hours of Operation

The Cortland County Landfill is open to the public during the following hours:

The Cortland County Landfill charges the following fees for waste disposal:

  • Units Containing Freon: $15.00 each

  • Green Wastes (including leaves, grass, brush, garden and lawn cuttings, wood chips, tree limbs up to 3 inches wide)
  • CFC Containing Appliances
  • Septic Tank Pumping
  • Pesticides and Chemicals
  • Explosives
  • Sealed Containers and Compressed Gas Tanks
  • Scrap Metal
  • Vehicular Tires or Tire Pieces
  • Untreated Regulated Medical Waste
  • Recyclables
  • Friable Asbestos
  • Well Drilling Debris (Drill cuttings or tailings from Well Drilling or hydrofracking)

Cortland County Landfill Acceptable White Goods/Appliance List

The Cortland County Landfill accepts the following white goods/appliances for a $15.00 fee per unit unless a certificate from a licensed Freon recovery facility is provided:
