Accepted Materials

The Killarney landfills accept a wide range of non-hazardous household and commercial waste, including:

General household waste
White goods (e.g., stoves, refrigerators)
Electronics
Tires
Scrap metal
Wood (clean, untreated)
Brush
Construction and renovation waste (fees apply)

Fees

There is no tipping fee for household waste, some white goods, and recyclable materials. However, fees apply for the following:

Freon removal
Brown waste
Construction and renovation waste

Clean Up Weeks

The Municipality of Killarney hosts two annual Clean Up Weeks:

Spring Clean-up: May 10th – 19th, 2024
Cottage Residents Summer Clean-up: July 5th – 14th, 2024

During these weeks, residents can dispose of household waste, construction and renovation waste, and other materials at the Killarney Village Landfill free of charge.

Additional Information

The Killarney Village Landfill is near its approved capacity, and the Municipality is working to secure approval for expansion.
Construction and renovation waste is no longer accepted at the Killarney Village Landfill.
All landfills are closed on statutory holidays.
