King George County Solid Waste & Recycling Division
The King George County Solid Waste & Recycling Division is responsible for the collection and disposal of solid waste and recyclables in King George County. The division operates two convenience centers and a landfill.
Convenience Centers
The King George County convenience centers are located at:
- Purkins’ Corner Convenience Center: 11221 Henry Griffin Road, King George, VA 22485
- Sealston Convenience Center: 2481 Birchwood Creek Road, King George, VA 22485
The convenience centers are open:
- Monday – Saturday: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Landfill
The King George County landfill is located at:

The landfill is open:
- Monday – Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Accepted Materials
The King George County convenience centers and landfill accept a variety of materials, including:

Fees
There is no charge to dispose of household trash or recyclables at the King George County convenience centers or landfill. However, there is a fee to dispose of construction and demolition debris, scrap metal, appliances, and electronics. The fee is based on the weight of the material.
Additional Information
- King George County residents and property owners must have a valid county license decal affixed to their vehicle or properly displayed written authorization from the county administrator in order to use the convenience centers or landfill.
- Non-residents and commercial users may pay to dispose of waste at the Sealston landfill.
