If you’re a resident of Knox County, Tennessee, and need to dispose of household waste or recyclables, there are several convenient drop-off centers located throughout the county. These centers are open to the public and offer a variety of services, including:
- Trash disposal
- Recycling
- Bulky item disposal
- Yard waste disposal

Hours of Operation
The hours of operation for Knox County Convenience Centers are as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Closed: Wednesdays, Sundays, and holidays
Fees
There are no fees to use Knox County Convenience Centers. However, there are some restrictions on the amount of waste that can be disposed of per day. For more information, please visit the Knox County website.

Knox County Convenience Centers accept a variety of recyclable materials, including:

Knox County Convenience Centers accept a variety of household waste items, including:

What Is Not Accepted?
Knox County Convenience Centers do not accept the following items:
- Hazardous waste
- Medical waste
- Electronic waste
- Tires
- Appliances

Additional Information
- Knox County Convenience Centers are only open to Knox County residents.
- Businesses and contractors are not allowed to use Knox County Convenience Centers.
- There is a limit of one standard 5×8 pickup truckload of waste per household per day.
- Heaping loads and very large trailers will be turned away.
- If you have a large amount of waste that exceeds the daily limit, you will need to dispose of your waste at a commercial waste disposal facility.
