Accepted Items

The Saturday Drop-Off program accepts a wide range of items, including:

  • Appliances (refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dryers, etc.)
  • Electronics (computers, televisions, printers, etc.)
  • Furniture
  • Mattresses
  • Metal
  • Tires (up to 5 without rims)

Not Accepted Items

Please note that the following items are not accepted at the Saturday Drop-Off locations:

  • Hazardous waste
  • Paint, solvents, and liquids
  • Batteries
  • Commercial or contractor waste
  • Large skider tires or tires larger than 60 inches
  • Concrete
  • Fiberglass insulation

Residency Requirements

To use the Saturday Drop-Off program, you must be a resident of Lamar County. If your vehicle tag is not issued from Lamar County, you must provide another means of proof of residency, such as a utility bill or driver’s license.

Cost

The Lamar County Board of Supervisors is proud to offer this service free of charge to county residents. The program is funded through grants from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality Solid Waste Division.

  • The Saturday Drop-Off locations are not open daily for drop-off use.
