If you’re looking to dispose of trash or recyclables in Lexington County, there are several options available to you. The county operates a landfill, a transfer station, and 11 collection and recycling centers.
Edmund Landfill
The Edmund Landfill is located at 325 Landfill Lane in Lexington. It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The landfill is closed on Sundays and holidays.
The landfill accepts a variety of materials, including household garbage, construction and demolition debris, and yard waste. Fees vary depending on the type of material being disposed of.
Transfer Station
The Edmund Transfer Station is located at 325 Landfill Lane in Lexington. It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The transfer station is closed on weekends and holidays.

Collection and Recycling Centers
Lexington County operates 11 collection and recycling centers located throughout the county. The centers are open to the public Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The centers are closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
