Mequon Brush Dump Hours: Everything You Need to Know
The Mequon Brush Dump is a convenient and affordable way to dispose of your yard waste. The dump is located at 10801 N. Port Washington Road and is open from April 2nd to November 30th.
Hours of Operation:
- April – August: Wednesdays 7:30 AM – 7 PM, Saturdays 8 AM – 4 PM
- September – November: Wednesdays & Saturdays 8 AM – 4 PM
Fees:
- Annual permit: $25.00
- Replacement fee for lost brush permits: $5.00
What is Accepted:
- Brush and branches up to 12″ in diameter
- Yard waste (grass, leaves, weeds, etc.)
What is Not Accepted:
- Garbage
- Logs
- Stumps
- Railroad ties
- Construction lumber
- Rocks
- Sod
- Invasive weeds (see below for more information)
Invasive Weed Disposal:
The State of Wisconsin DNR has specific rules for the disposal of invasive weeds. These weeds must be collected separately from other yard waste and placed in a clear bag labeled “Invasive Plants—Please Landfill.” These bags should be placed along with your regular waste collection for the regular waste haulers. Do not bring invasive plants to the Yard Waste Recycle area.
Permit Information:
An annual permit is required to use the Mequon Brush Dump. Permits can be purchased at City Hall in the Finance Department, from the Police Department, or through the City website. The permit is non-refundable.
Additional Information:
- The City of Mequon does not provide curbside pickup of brush and branches.
- The Brush Dump may be closed due to inclement weather.
- Follow the instructions of the operator at the site.
- Violators of the City’s policies will be cited and/or have their permit revoked.
