Acceptable and Unacceptable Waste
Convenience Centers:
- Acceptable: Household trash
- Unacceptable: Brush, yard debris, tree limbs, lumber, construction and demolition waste, tires, hazardous waste, asbestos, industrial process waste, large animal carcasses, materials over 4 feet in length
Transfer Station:
Acceptable:
- Household waste from Middlesex County residents
- Business waste from small businesses in Middlesex County (with limitations)
- Small loads of construction and demolition waste from contractors with a valid Middlesex County building permit (one load per permit)
- Tires that are split lengthwise
Unacceptable:
- Liquids
- Soil, brick, or stone
- Hazardous waste
- Asbestos
- Industrial process waste
- Tires from commercial establishments
- Sawdust
- Large tree trunks and stumps
- Materials over 4 feet in length
Recycling
All convenience centers and the transfer station offer recycling bins for:
- Corrugated cardboard
- Mixed paper
- Comingled materials (metal, glass, plastic)
- Oyster shells (Deltaville Convenience Center only)
