Fees and Guidelines

The following fees and guidelines apply to all convenience centers in Nashville:

  • Residents must present a valid Tennessee driver’s license showing they reside in Davidson County.
  • Residents are responsible for unloading their own materials.
  • Vehicles with commercial tags are not allowed.
  • Commercial waste materials will not be accepted.
  • All household trash must be bagged.

Accepted Materials

Convenience centers accept a wide range of materials, including:

  • Trash: Up to three bags per visit, excluding mattresses and tires with rims.
  • Recycling: All household recyclables, including paper, plastic, metal, and glass.
  • Compostable Material: Uneaten food and other organic waste.
  • Electronics: Old electronics, such as computers, TVs, and cell phones.
  • Carpet Pad: Up to one cubic yard per visit.
  • Household Hazardous Waste (East & Ezell Centers Only): Up to 15 gallons or 100 pounds per visit.
  • Tires without Rims: Up to four tires per month per visit.
  • Tires with Rims: Up to four tires per month per visit, $5 per tire.
  • Mattresses and Box Springs: Up to four mattresses or box springs per month per visit, $12 each.
  • Cars and Passenger Vans: Up to two visits per day, $10 each.
  • Pickup Trucks Level with Bed: Up to two visits per day, $10 each.
  • Pickup Trucks Above the Top of the Bed: $20 per cubic yard.
  • Cargo Vans and Trailers (no longer than 12 feet): $20 per cubic yard, cannot exceed 8 cubic yards, no construction or demolition material.
  • Construction and Demolition Material (Omohundro Center Only): Up to two cubic yards per visit, $20.
