If you’re looking for the dump hours in Rome, WI, you’ve come to the right place. The Rome Transfer Site is located at 1371 Apache Avenue and is open to the public during the following hours:

Summer Hours (Memorial Day to Labor Day)

  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Winter Hours (Labor Day to Memorial Day)

  • Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The Transfer Site is closed on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.


There are some items that require a fee to dispose of at the Transfer Site. These items include:

  • Light bulbs: $2.00 each for under 4′ fluorescent light bulbs, $4.00 each for over 4′ fluorescent light bulbs
  • Mattresses, recliners, sofas: $10.00 for crib/twin size mattresses, $15.00 for all other sizes; $10.00 each for recliner chairs, sofas, and love seats
  • Appliances: $25.00 per item, including microwaves
  • Tires: $5.00 each for tires without a rim, $10.00 each for tires with a rim

The following items are accepted at the Transfer Site:

  • Household garbage
  • Wood products
  • Yard waste
  • Batteries
  • Oil
  • Oil filters
  • Oil absorbents
  • Automotive batteries
  • Anti-freeze

Unacceptable Items

The following items are not accepted at the Transfer Site:

  • Cement
  • Blacktop
  • Computers
  • Electronics
  • Televisions

Rules and Regulations

Please follow these rules and regulations when using the Transfer Site:

  • Do not scavenge.
  • Do not leave waste on the ground.
  • Place all wood products and other construction waste materials in the miscellaneous (open top) containers.
  • Yard waste must be free and clear of all plastics, stones, branches, plastic bags, etc.
  • Dispose of used oil, oil filters, oil absorbents, automotive batteries, and anti-freeze in the designated area.
  • Visibly display your Transfer Site tag for attendants.
  • Do not share your Transfer Site tag with others.
