Sheenboro Transfer Station Hours
The Sheenboro Transfer Station is open to the public during the following hours:
- Sundays: 12 PM – 4 PM
Please note that the transfer station is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Accepted Materials
The Sheenboro Transfer Station accepts a wide range of materials, including:
- Household garbage
- Recycling (cardboard, paper, magazines, newspapers, clean bottles and cans, clean foil, plastic with a recycling number on it)
- Batteries (small batteries may be put in the recycle bin in a bag or container)
- Steel
- Brush, leaves, and clippings
Important Note: The Sheenboro Transfer Station does not accept any form of construction waste.
Fees
There is no fee for Sheenboro ratepayers to use the transfer station. However, islanders are permitted to use the facilities for a fee of $135 per season.
Additional Information
- Stickers are mandatory on all vehicles entering the Transfer station. They are available to Ratepayers at the Transfer Station. Take a tax bill along.
- Be sure to download the PDF of details of what goes into the different bins.
- Staples store in Pembroke will accept old computers and printers. Please do not leave electronic waste at the Transfer Station.
