Here’s everything you need to know about the South Milwaukee Dump Hours and fees:
Self-Deposit Station Hours
- Winter Hours (December 1 – March 31):
- Tuesday: 11:30 am – 5:30 pm
- Friday: Closed
- Saturday: 9 am – 4 pm
- Summer Hours (April 1 – November 30):
- Tuesday and Friday: 11:30 am – 6:30 pm
- Saturday: 9 am – 4 pm
Please note: The station may be closed during inclement weather.
Self-Deposit Station Fees
South Milwaukee residents who use the Self-Deposit Station will be charged $3 per visit.
Additional fees apply to certain items:
- Freon Bearing Appliances: $15 each unit
- Grass clippings: $1 per 32-gallon bag or container
- Tires (must be removed from rim):
- Size 17 inches or less: $3 each
- Size larger than 17 inches: $7 each

The following items are not accepted at the Self-Deposit Station:
- Asphalt Shingles
- Hazardous Material
- Latex Paint (while liquid)
- Oil Base Paint
- Waste Liquids (except motor oil and antifreeze)
- Refrigerant Depot
- Television or Computer Monitor (CVT)
Alternative Disposal Options
For items not accepted at the Self-Deposit Station, you can explore the following alternative disposal options:
- Household Hazardous Waste: Contact the City of South Milwaukee for proper disposal instructions.
- Latex Paint: Allow the paint to dry completely and dispose of it in regular trash.
- Oil Base Paint: Contact the City of South Milwaukee for proper disposal instructions.
- Waste Liquids: Contact a licensed hazardous waste disposal company.
