Toledo’s primary landfill, Hoffman Road Landfill, is located at 3962 Hoffman Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43611. The landfill is open to the public for waste disposal during the following hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
Acceptable and Non-Acceptable Items
The Hoffman Road Landfill accepts a wide range of waste materials, including:
- Excess trash
- Furniture
- Carpeting
- Mattresses
- Wood waste
- Scrap metal
- Tires (with fee paid)
However, there are certain items that are not accepted at the landfill, such as:

Fees and Payment
The Hoffman Road Landfill charges a base fee for waste disposal, which is rounded to the nearest cubic yard. The fees are as follows:
- 1 cubic yard: $16 (minimum fee)
- 2 cubic yards: $32
- 3 cubic yards: $48
- 4 cubic yards: $64
- 5 cubic yards: $80
Tires are also subject to a fee:
- Passenger tires: $3 each
- Trick tires: $6 each
- Semi-truck/tractor tires: $3 each
Only cash is accepted for payment at the landfill.
Additional Information
- Proof of City of Toledo or Lucas County residency is required for free disposal days.
- All loads are subject to inspection and measurement.
- No refunds are permitted.
