Union County, Florida, provides its residents with several options for waste disposal and recycling. This guide will provide you with all the necessary information about Union County dump hours, locations, and accepted items.

Dump Locations and Hours of Operation

Union County operates five collection centers located throughout the county:

  • CC1 – Lake Butler: 9184 92ND PLACE, LAKE BUTLER, FL 32054
  • CC2 – Worthington Springs: 2686 SW SR 121, WORTHINGTON SPRINGS, FL 32054
  • CC3 – Providence: 7689 SW CR 241, LAKE BUTLER, FL 32054
  • CC4 – Palestine: 14480 NW CR 239, LAKE BUTLER, FL 32054
  • CC5 – Raiford: 15501 NE SR 121, RAIFORD, FL 32026

The hours of operation for all five collection centers are as follows:

  • Monday – Saturday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Sunday: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Accepted Items

The Union County collection centers accept a wide range of items, including:

  • Recyclables: Cardboard, newspaper, aluminum & steel (tin) cans
  • Household solid waste
  • Automobile/boat batteries
  • Metals
  • White goods (stoves, refrigerators, freezers, etc.)
  • Yard waste
  • Tires (maximum of 5 per resident)
  • Household construction debris
  • Furniture

Items Not Accepted

The following items are not accepted at the Union County collection centers:

  • Burn barrels
  • Dead animals
  • Commercial waste
  • Liquid waste
  • Hazardous waste
  • Liquids
  • Motor oil (except at the 121 site in Lake Butler and Providence Site on SR 241)
  • Glass bottles and plastic containers for recycling (can be taken to New River Regional Landfill)

Additional Information

  • For more information, call Union County Solid Waste at (386) 496-2180.
  • The New River Regional Landfill is located 2 miles north of SR 16 on SR 121 and accepts larger loads of household solid waste.
  • Please note that hours of operation and accepted items may change, so it’s always best to check with Union County Solid Waste before visiting a collection center.
