DRC Hours of Operation

The Wilbraham DRC is open to the public during the following hours:

• Wednesday and Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

The DRC is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, New Year’s Day, July 4th, November 11th, December 24th (half-day), and December 25th.

Acceptable Materials

The Wilbraham DRC accepts a variety of recyclable materials, including:

• Paper (newspapers, magazines, cardboard)
• Containers (glass bottles and jars, aluminum cans, plastic bottles and jugs)
• Yard waste (leaves, grass, branches)
• Metal items (appliances, lawn mowers, grills)
• Electronics (TVs, computers, laptops)
• Batteries (nickel, button, alkaline)

Fees

Residents of Wilbraham can purchase annual permits for $120, while seniors can purchase permits for $100. Permits are available for purchase at the Town Hall.

Fees apply for the disposal of certain items, including:

• Electronics: $25 per item
• Appliances with freon (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers): $25 per item
• White appliances (washers, dryers, stoves): No charge
• Metal items and appliances: No charge

Prohibited Materials

The following materials are not accepted at the Wilbraham DRC:

• Demolition materials
• Hypodermic needles
• Paint
• Household waste
• Chemicals
• Pet waste

Additional Information

• Trash bags are available for purchase at the Town Hall, Big Y-Wilbraham, Main St. Mart, and the Senior Center.
