Coventry Transfer Station Hours:
The Coventry Transfer Station is located at 100 Olsen Farm Road and is open to the public during the following hours:
- Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (year-round)
- Thursdays:
- October – March: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- April – September: Noon to 6 p.m.
The Transfer Station is closed on all holidays.
Acceptable Materials and Fees:
The Transfer Station accepts a wide range of materials, including:

Acceptable with cost:
- Construction and demolition debris (free of cardboard, metal, and garbage)
- Land clearing debris (stumps and brush)
- Bulk items (furniture)
- Appliances with refrigerant
- Tires (automobile size, on or off rim)
- Gas grill propane tanks for recycling
- “Extra” garbage bags that wouldn’t fit in your tipper cart

Acceptable with no cost:
- Appliances and scrap metal materials
- Electronics (including televisions and fluorescent lamps)
- Textiles (clean, dry clothing and linens)
- Mattress / boxspring
- Single stream recycling (bottles, cans, paper, cardboard, etc.)
- Paint
- Leaves for composting
Unacceptable Materials:
Please note that the following materials are not accepted at the Transfer Station:
- Grass clippings
- Hazardous waste
Curbside Trash and Recycling Pickup:
In addition to the Transfer Station, Coventry residents can also dispose of their waste and recyclables through curbside pickup.
- Household garbage and solid waste: Accepted in gray tipper carts for weekly pickup.
- Recyclable items: Accepted in blue tipper carts for biweekly pickup.

Additional Disposal Options:
- Scrap metal, electronics, mattresses / boxsprings, textiles, fluorescent bulbs, and appliances: Can be brought to the Coventry Transfer Station at no cost.
- Antifreeze: Must be brought to the Coventry Department of Public Works at 100 Olsen Farm Road by appointment. Please call (860) 742-6588 for more information.
- Used motor oil: Can be brought to the Department of Public Works on Olsen Farm Road Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
