Dump Hours

The Hammond Town Hall Dump is open to residents for garbage and recycling drop-off during the following hours:

  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (all year)
  • Wednesdays: 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM (May – September)

Note: The dump is closed on Sundays and Fridays.

Fees

Every household in the Town of Hammond is assessed an annual fee of $60 for garbage and recycling services. This fee covers up to 60 bags of garbage disposal. Additional bags can be purchased at the dump site.

Accepted Items

The Hammond Town Hall Dump accepts the following items for recycling:

  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Aluminum, tin, and steel cans and lids
  • Plastics #1-2 (accepted at the drop-off site)
  • Plastics #1-7 (accepted through curbside collection)
  • Paper, flattened cardboard, newspaper, and magazines
  • No plastic bags/film (gather separately and bring to a local grocery store, Target, or Walmart)
