If you’re a resident of Lac La Hache or the surrounding area, it’s important to be aware of the local dump hours. The dump, also known as the transfer station, is where you can dispose of household garbage, yard waste, and other items.
The Lac La Hache Transfer Station is located at 4202 Cariboo Hwy South, Lac La Hache, BC V0K 1T1. The hours of operation are as follows:
- Monday: 7:30AM – 5:00PM
- Tuesday: 7:30AM – 5:00PM
- Wednesday: 11:00AM – 2:00PM
- Thursday: CLOSED
- Friday: 7:30AM – 5:00PM
- Saturday: 8:00AM – 5:00PM
- Sunday: 8:00AM – 5:00PM
The dump is closed on statutory holidays, with the exception of Christmas and New Year’s Day.
What can you dispose of at the Lac La Hache Transfer Station?
The Lac La Hache Transfer Station accepts the following items:
- Household garbage
- Yard waste
- Clean wood waste
- Metal waste
- Small loads of demolition waste
Fees
There are no fees to dispose of household garbage, yard waste, or clean wood waste at the Lac La Hache Transfer Station. However, there are fees for disposing of metal waste and demolition waste. The fees are as follows:
- Metal waste: $20 per tonne
- Demolition waste: $30 per tonne
