Cle Elum Dump Hours of Operation

The Cle Elum dump is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. The dump is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The Cle Elum dump is located at 50 – #5 Mine Road, across from the Cle Elum/Roslyn School.

Cle Elum Dump Fees

The Cle Elum dump charges a fee for the disposal of garbage. The fee is based on the weight of the garbage. The current fee schedule is as follows:

• MSW Tipping Fee: $143.00 per ton/$10.00 minimum
• Yard Waste: $79.32 per ton/$8.00 minimum
• Construction/Demolition Waste:
  • At Ryegrass Landfill: $12.00 per yard – CDL, $9.00 per yard – Dirt with Waste Certification, $20.00 per yard – Concrete over 2ft x 2ft x 6in
  • At Ellensburg Transfer Station: $80.27 per ton/$8.00 minimum
  • At Cle Elum Transfer Station: $99.22 per ton/$8.00 minimum
• Appliances with CFC Refrigerants: $35.00 per appliance Plus Weight (Doors must be removed from Refrigerators and Freezers, and they must be empty)
• Liquid Waste: $0.25 per gallon (Septage from Kittitas County only, all haulers must be permitted through Kittitas County Public Health)
• Tires:
  • Passenger Tires w/o Garbage: $235.00 per ton
  • Passenger Tires with Garbage: $3.00 per tire
  • Truck Tires: $9.00 per tire
  • Implement/Tractor Tires: $25.00 per tire
  • Heavy Equipment Tires: $80.00 per tire
• Special Waste (Street Sweepings): $100.00 per ton
• Compost:
  • Sale of Compost: $75.00 per ton. Residential Vehicles, $55.00 per ton. Contractors, Farms, Nurseries, and Landscapers, $40.00 per ton. Sale of Mulch
  • Compost Socks: $4.00 per ft. 100 ft. minimum.
  • Additional/Replacement Cards for Charge Customers: $5.00 per card
  • Insufficient Fund Customers: $20.00 for each cash transaction not paid by the end of the business day.
