The Montgomery County Transfer Station and Material Recovery Facility is located at:

Transfer Station Hours:

  • Monday – Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (both entrances)
  • Sunday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Shady Grove Road entrance only)

Note: The Route 355 / Frederick Road entrance is closed on Sundays, holidays, and other times when the scale house is closed to commercial traffic. All persons and vehicles using the Transfer Station during these times should enter through the “Truck Entrance” located at 16055 Shady Grove Road between Frederick Road (355) and CarMax.
