Dump Locations and Hours
Anchorage has three main dump locations:
- Anchorage Regional Landfill (Eagle River)

- Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Sunday: Closed
- Central Transfer Station (Mid-town Anchorage)

- Residential: Monday – Saturday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Commercial: Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 4:30pm, Saturday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

- Monday: 9:30am – 5:00pm

Accepted Materials
Each dump location accepts different types of waste. Here’s a breakdown:

Fees and Restrictions
- Anchorage Regional Landfill: Uncovered or unsecured loads are subject to an additional charge of $30.
- Central Transfer Station: Uncovered or unsecured loads are subject to an additional charge of $30-$60.
- Girdwood Transfer Station: Uncovered or unsecured loads are subject to an additional charge of $30.
Safety Guidelines
- Wear safety vests on the commercial side of the Central Transfer Station and on the working face of the Anchorage Regional Landfill.
- Hard hats are recommended but not required.
- Cell phone use is prohibited on campus.
- Drive slowly (10 mph).
