Berkeley County offers several convenience centers and a landfill for residents to dispose of their trash and recyclables. The hours of operation and locations of these facilities vary, so it’s important to know where to go and when before you make a trip.

Convenience Center Hours

The Berkeley County convenience centers are open to Berkeley County residents only, for disposal of residential trash. Commercial waste is not permitted.

The convenience centers are open the following hours:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Closed Wednesdays and Sundays

Landfill Hours

The Berkeley County landfill is open to Berkeley County residents and businesses. The landfill accepts a variety of materials, including trash, recyclables, and yard waste.

The landfill is open the following hours:

  • Monday-Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Closed Sundays

Convenience Center Locations

There are nine Berkeley County convenience centers located throughout the county. The locations are:

  • Poplar Hill: 1029 Poplar Hill Road, Ridgeville, SC 29472

  • Shulerville: 2115 Shulerville Road, Jamestown, SC 29453
  • Oakley Road: 606 Oakley Road, Moncks, SC 29461
  • Savanna Creek: 3663 N. Highway 17-A, Bonneau, SC 29431
  • Alligator Road: Alligator Road 1078 Alligator Road, Cordesville, SC 29434

Landfill Location

The Berkeley County landfill is located at 1025 Gravel Hill Road, Bonneau, SC 29431.

Additional Information

  • Signs have been posted at the sites, notifying the public about the convenience center schedule change.
  • Flyers have been handed out as a reminder to citizens.
