Rupert Road Transfer Station

The City of Selkirk’s dump is located at the Rupert Road Transfer Station, which is situated at 136 Rupert Road, Selkirk, NY 12158. The transfer station provides an alternative for residents and businesses to recycle and dispose of trash instead of contracting with a private hauler.

Hours of Operation

The Rupert Road Transfer Station is open to the public during the following hours:

  • Tuesday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Thursday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The transfer station is closed on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, as well as on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Acceptable Materials

The Rupert Road Transfer Station accepts a wide range of materials, including:

    • Large items: $15 each
  • Appliances: $10 each

  • Propane tanks:
    • Small (16.4 oz.) propane cylinders: $4 each

  • Tires (add $2 for any tire with the rim):
    • Car / SUV / pickup: $4 each
    • Commercial truck: $12 each
  • Recycling:
    • Cardboard, Paper (sort, flatten cardboard): $2 per vehicle flat rate
    • Co-mingled containers (up to 30 gal. container): $2 per up to 30 gal. container
  • Electronics: FREE
  • Demolition and building materials: $150 per ton
  • Trash and garbage: $100 per ton
