Cloncurry Shire Council Dump Hours of Operation

The Cloncurry Shire Council Dump is open the following hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 6:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday: 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 6:00pm
• Public Holidays (excluding Christmas Day): 8:00am to 12:00pm

Christmas Opening Hours 2023/2024

• Sunday, 24 December 2023: Open 8:00am – 12:00pm
• Monday, 25 December 2023: Closed
• Tuesday, 26 December 2023: Open 8:00am – 12:00pm
• Monday, 1 January 2024: Open 8:00am – 12:00pm

*Unless noted in the table above, the landfill with be open as per normal opening hours.
**If the road into the landfill is deemed unusable due to wet weather, Council will provide a tipper truck at the landfill entrance for small disposals.

Cloncurry Shire Council Dump Fees

The Cloncurry Shire Council Dump charges fees for commercial waste. The fees are as follows:

• Up to 1 tonne: $25.00
• 1 to 2 tonnes: $50.00
• 2 to 3 tonnes: $75.00
• 3 to 4 tonnes: $100.00
• 4 to 5 tonnes: $125.00
• Over 5 tonnes: $150.00

Domestic waste is free of charge.

The Cloncurry Shire Council Dump accepts the following types of waste:

• Plastic wrap

• Ceramic, china, pottery
• Styrofoam, polystyrene

• Garden waste/ Green waste
• Food scraps
• Clothing

The dump does not accept the following types of waste:

• ANY LIQUID WASTES AND SEMI-LIQUID WASTES (i.e. cooking oil and hydrocarbons such as oily water and waste oils from vehicles)
• Asbestos
