Landfill Operating Hours
The Davis Landfill is open to the public during the following hours:
Summer Hours (during daylight saving time)
- Monday-Saturday: 7 am to 6 pm
Winter Hours
- Monday-Saturday: 7 am to 5 pm
Holiday Schedule
Please note that the Davis Landfill will be closed on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Independence Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas
The landfill will also close at 2 pm on the following holidays:
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Washington and Lincoln Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth National Freedom Day*
- Pioneer Day (actual date only, not observed)
- Labor Day
- Veteran’s Day (actual date only, not observed)
- Day after Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve
- New Year’s Eve
*Juneteenth National Freedom Day (“Juneteenth”) will be observed on June 19, if that day is a Monday. If June 19 falls on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, Juneteenth will be observed on the immediately preceding Monday. If June 19 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, Juneteenth shall be observed on the immediately following Monday.
Other Important Information
- The Landfill includes both the Green Waste Recycling Facility and the Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
- Fees may apply for certain types of waste disposal. Please check the Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District website for more information.
