Kiel Dump Hours: Everything You Need to Know

Are you a resident of Kiel looking to dispose of bulky waste or electronics? Look no further than the Kiel Community Drop-off Site! This convenient facility offers a range of disposal options to meet your needs.

Kiel Drop-Off Site Hours

The Keller Community Drop-off Site is located at 414 8th Street and is open to residents of Kiel as follows:

  • April – October:
    • Tuesday & Thursday: 4-7 pm
    • Saturday: 8 am – noon
  • November:
    • Saturday: 8 am – noon
  • December – March:
    • Closed

Acceptable Items

The Kiel Drop-Off Site accepts a wide variety of items, including:

  • Furniture
  • Appliances
  • Other bulky items that do not fit in garbage or recycling containers
  • Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners (must have freon/refrigerant removed)
  • Latex paint (must have covers removed and paint hardened)

Fee Schedule

For certain electronics, a fee is required to recycle. The fee can be paid at Kiel City Hall prior to taking the electronic to the drop site.

  • Computer Monitors: $17.00
  • Broken Computer Monitors: $50.00
  • Televisions: $25.00
  • Projection or Big Screen TVs: $40.00
  • Broken Televisions (screen or case): $50.00
  • Microwaves: $7.00
  • Stereo Equipment: $5.00
  • Stereo Consoles: $10.00
  • Printers, Scanners, Fax Machines: $7.00
  • Copiers: $12.00

Unacceptable Items

The following items are not accepted at the Kiel Drop-Off Site:

  • Oil-based paint
  • Tires
  • Construction and remodeling debris
  • Vehicle batteries

Additional Information

  • Brush and branches are accepted on Saturdays only. Branches can be no longer than 3 ft. long and no larger than 4 inches in diameter.
  • Grass clippings and leaves must be free of branches, sticks, dog waste, and other debris.
  • Contact your local county recycling center or dispose of oil-based paint during a Clean Sweep Program.
  • Contact your local auto dealer or tire dealer for tire disposal.
  • Dispose of demolition material at your own expense.
  • Contact your local battery dealer or waste hauler for vehicle battery disposal.
