Longmeadow Recycling & Yard Waste Center

The Longmeadow Recycling & Yard Waste Center is located on Pondside Road adjacent to the old Department of Public Works yard (31 Pondside). It is open to Longmeadow residents only and offers the following services:

  • Drop-off of recyclable materials that cannot be collected at curbside
  • Disposal of bulky trash items such as furniture and appliances
  • Disposal of yard waste, brush, and grass clippings

Hours of Operation

The Recycling & Yard Waste Center’s hours of operation vary depending on the season:

April through November 1st:

  • Saturday: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Sunday: 10 am – 5 pm
  • Wednesday: 10 am – 5 pm

November through December:

  • Saturday: 8 am – 3 pm

December 23rd through March:

  • Saturday: 9 am – 12 pm


To use the Recycling & Yard Waste Center, you must have a valid dump/transfer station sticker. Stickers can be purchased by mailing in the Recycling Center sticker application or online here.

The cost of a sticker is $25 for residents.

Accepted Materials

The Recycling & Yard Waste Center accepts a wide range of materials, including:

  • Recyclables: Paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, and glass
  • Bulky trash: Furniture, appliances, electronics, and mattresses
