The Saluda County trash dumps accept a wide range of household waste and recyclable materials, including:
- Aluminum cans
- Appliances (large and small)
- Batteries (lead-acid)
- Cardboard
- Cooking oil
- Electronics (televisions, computers, etc.)
- Mixed paper (magazines, newspapers)
- Oil/gasoline mixtures
- Paperboard (cereal boxes, shoe boxes)
- Scrap metal
- Tires (limit 4 per day)
- Used motor oil, filters, and bottles
