Crete Dump Hours and Information

The Crete Transfer Station is located at 478 County Road 2300 (North Boswell) and is open to the public for the disposal of yard waste and large loads of household trash.

Hours of Operation:

• Tuesdays: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Fees:

• Free: Yard waste and branches
• $0.20 per pound, $1 minimum: Recyclable materials (aluminum/tin, paper, plastics, cardboard)
• $1 per trash bag (13 gal); $5 per trash can/tote: Household trash
• $11 each item: Empty paint cans, miscellaneous large items (e.g., sofa, mattress)
• $11: Car trunk load
• $16: Small pickup load
• $27: Large pickup load
• $44: Trailer load
• $11: Trash can/tote (construction materials)
• $44: Small pickup load (construction materials)
• $60: Large pickup load (construction materials)
• $88: Trailer load (construction materials)

Not Accepted:

• Paint
• Chemicals
• Tires
• Farm truck loads
• Dump truck loads
• Semi loads

Additional Information:

• The Garbage Company reserves the right to refuse business.
• City Master Fee Schedule includes rates and fees for city electrical, water, and sewer service for residential, commercial, or industrial customers, garbage and recycling collection rates, and Transfer Station fees. View the Master Fee Schedule
• The City of Crete holds an annual Spring Cleanup the first week of May, with Transfer Station coupons, major appliance curbside pick-up, and downtown cleanup day.
• Contact The Garbage Company at 1.800.322.4272 about renting roll-off containers for delivery to residential or commercial work sites within the City of Crete.
• Other local and area agencies sponsor collections of household hazardous materials and electronics on an annual basis, typically in the spring or fall. The City will share information when it is received.
