Trash Pick Up Schedule in New Orleans
The City of New Orleans offers once-weekly curbside trash collection for residential properties with four units or less. The city is divided into five service areas, each managed by a different waste collection contractor:

Residential Trash Collection
Each residence receives a free 96-gallon standard trash collection roll cart capable of holding 250 pounds of household garbage. Residents with special needs can request:

- Smaller carts for properties with limited storage
Recycling Services

Holiday Trash Pick Up Changes

- Mardi Gras Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
